An appropriate plan for ongoing operation and maintenance of all physical facilities, technical infrastructure has been developed and is in use.

Services are provided through the operating and maintenance personnel hired to maintain the buildings, grounds and related equipment. Inside maintenance is handled daily by the staff and students.  Heavier maintenance is scheduled on a monthly or quarterly basis with vendors that specialized in specific areas. Specialized maintenance and custodial care is handled by outside contractors (e.g., lawn care, window cleaning, floor cleaning and waxing, etc.). CBC has qualified IT personnel to respond to work requests.

Emphasis is placed on preventive maintenance of building equipment and systems to prevent premature failure and to ensure the expected equipment life. The inside cleaning and sanitation are the responsibility of the students and staff. The heavy duty custodial care and maintenance are handled by outside contractors.

Student kits are ordered prepackaged through PivotPoint with all required equipment from the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology. The kits and personal supplies of students are their responsibility to maintain and replace if broken. School supplies are ordered from:

  • Sally’s Beauty Supply
  • Salon Centric
  • Office Depot
  • Quill

Supplies relating to operations, maintenance and information technology are adequately provided for in annual budgets.

CBC is in compliance with federal and state codes and generally accepted safety standards.

Relevant State Law of the Cosmetology Profession: Title 43-10-1 is kept in the school library for the students, staff and public to use. Additional Laws, Rules and Regulations along with the state inspection report are posted on the bulletin board next to the classroom. All cosmetologists in the state of Georgia are under the Georgia Secretary of state. The complete cosmetology Rules and regulations may also be downloaded from the Secretary of States website at

The equipment and supplies provided to students as a part of their kit is mandated by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology Rule 130-3-.01. Each item that is mandated by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology is included in the student’s kit.
